Depending on the variety of lavender being grown, it can bloom anytime from late spring to mid-summer. Many varieties can also have a second smaller bloom in the fall.

In season, MGM lavender farm offers farm visits with pre-registration only. Guests can contact the farm to book u-pick lavender experiences, educational talks about lavender growing, photography sessions, and artist workshops.
2. Southern Oak Lavender Farm
3305 Clear Springs Rd, Mascot, TN
Approximate Travel Time From Downtown Knoxville: 20 minutes
Southern Oak Farm is one of the most elaborate lavender farms near Knoxville. In addition to a stunning lavender field, the farm also boasts a wide variety of other u-cut flowers.
The U-pick lavender season starts in June, but the other flowers are available for u-cut throughout the spring and summer.
The farm also allows families to snap photos for free. Professional photographers must book an appointment time and pay a small fee.
3. French Broad River Lavender Farm
1705 Hopewell Rd, Knoxville, TN

This newer lavender farm is planning big things for the future, including lavender-growing classes, make-and-take workshops, and more. Keep an eye on their website for updates.
4. Midfield Lavender Farm

Distance from Downtown Knoxville: 1 hour
This gorgeous u-pick lavender farm only hosts private visits and requires advanced reservations. Visitation days begin toward the end of May and go through mid-June.
5. Cove Creek Lavender

Approximate Travel Time From Knoxville: 1 hour and 15 minutes
Cove Creek Lavender offers way more than just u-cut lavender. They also boast a wide variety of gorgeous pre-cut flowers, photography sessions, and public events throughout the growing season.

Fair Winds is an educational farm that offers farm tours and classes on making various lavender products. In season, they also offer u-pick lavender with pre-registration.
Since Fair Winds is a little further out, you can make the most of your drive by visiting one of these other fun attractions while you’re in town: Pickett CCC Memorial State Park or East Fork Stables Horse Riding.
7. Lookout Lavender Farm

In early summer, the fields at Lookout Lavender Farm are open to the public for u-pick flowers. There is also an adorable farm store with lavender decor and products.
If that’s not enough, the farm hosts educational classes about growing lavender, including their popular Lavender 101 course.

Valle Crucis Lavender House brings lavender to life with herbal crafting classes where guests can make soaps, lotions, and more.
They also have an adorable teahouse that serves up homegrown tea blends in a variety of flavors. You can even design your own.

This u-pick lavender farm is just a short drive away in the mountains of North Carolina. It has the most adorable party rental venue that holds up to 50 people, which would make the perfect spot for a destination wedding or bridal shower.

Red Oak is a u-pick flower farm that offers a wide variety of flowers from spring through fall. U-pick availability depends on the season.
In addition to the flower fields, the farm has an adorable farm store with homemade lavender products. There is also a very unique maze made out of Dahlias, which bloom in autumn.
