Summer was made for getting wet and wild and these fantastic public pools will help you do just that! In addition to swimming, many of these pools have nearby playgrounds, hiking trails, and more! Most of the pools don’t even require a membership. You can just pay as you go. How awesome is that?
This list features both indoor and outdoor aquatic centers. All of the pools are available for party rentals with advanced notification and deposit. All of these pools also offer swimming lessons.

Knoxville Public Pools
Inskip Pool
- Location: 4204 Bruhin Road, Knoxville
- Cost: $4/adults, $4/kids, annual passes available
This outdoor pool is located at Inskip Park. In addition to the pool, this park boasts a playground, disc golf, picnic area, tennis courts, and more!
Ed Cothern Pool
- Location: 1737 Reynolds St., Knoxville
- Cost: $3/adults, $3/kids, annual passes available
This outdoor pool is located at Malcolm-Martin Park. In addition to the pool, this park offers a playground, picnic area, and a variety of ball fields!
Adaptive Center Pool
- Location: 2235 Dandridge Ave., Knoxville
- Cost: $3/adults, $3/kids
This indoor pool is located at the Knoxville Adaptive Recreation Center, which features pickleball and aquatic fitness classes.
Elmer Brine Pool
- Location: 522 Maryville Pike, Knoxville
- Cost: $3/adults, $3/kids
This indoor pool is located at south Knoxville Community center, which also offers meeting rooms and various aquatic programs!
Karns Community Park
- Location: 6618 Beaver Ridge Road
- Cost: $5/ages 12 and older, $2.50/under 11, season passes available
This outdoor pool features a small water slide and a splash pad in the kids section. There is also an adjacent playground.
Carter Community Pool
- Location: 9218 Carter Mill Dr, Strawberry Plains, TN
- Cost: $5 per person, seasonal memberships are also available
The outdoor pool is located next to Paschal heights Park, which boasts a playground, hiking trails and more!
Gulf Park Recreation Association
- Location: 528 Pensacola Road, Knoxville, TN
- Cost: $290 – $390 for a seasonal family membership
This outdoor pool boasts a diving board, lap lanes, and a fun water slide. Your membership also includes access to tennis courts.
Belmont West Pool
- Location: end of Chateaugay Road, Cedar Bluff, Tennessee
- Cost: $275 – $350 for a seasonal family membership
This outdoor pool is part of a neighborhood association, but they do accept non-residents for the higher $350 fee.
Gulfwood Pool
- Location: 9127 Candlewood Dr, Knoxville, TN
- Cost: $350 per seasonal family membership

Crestwood Hills Recreation Center

This fantastic outdoor pool offers a diving board, lap lanes, and a covered picnic area. Your membership also includes access to the tennis and basketball courts.
Arnstein Jewish Community Center

Anderson County Public Pools
Jaycee Park Pool

This outdoor pool offers diving boards and a kiddie pool.
Oakridge Pool
- Location: 72 Providence Road., Oak Ridge
- Cost: $3/adults, $3/kids, annual passes available
Considered one of the largest pools in the nation, this outdoor pool boasts depths of up to 13 and 1/2 feet. The pool encourages all patrons to bring their own camp chairs due to limited seating. This is one of the few pools to offer private room for nursing moms.
Oakridge Civic Recreation Center

This indoor pool offers specific open swim hours, lap swimming hours, and fitness classes.
Norris Dam State Park

John Sevier Pool

Newport Community Center

Panther Creek Pool

Loudon County Public Pools
Lenoir City Pool

Loudon Pool

Monroe County
Sweetwater Recreation Park

Roane County
There are currently no public pools in Roane county. Contact your county officials to request one today. The most a pool is requested, the sooner one will be put in!
Sevier County Public Pools
Sevierville Family Aquatic Center

Pigeon Forge Community Center

This center features an outdoor pool with a water slide and a kids’ rain fountain. The center also boasts an indoor pool with open swim times, lap swimming times, and fitness classes. The center also offers bowling, ball courts, and more!
Gatlinburg Community Center
