Camps

This education based day camp believes in hands-on, interest-lead learning experiences. The camps take place at various facilities throughout Knox County. Each week incorporates a fun theme and an optional off-site field trip related to the theme.

This club offers volleyball instruction for a variety of ages. Instructions ranges from beginners to competitive travel teams for kids and adults. K2 volleyball club also offers summer day camps for kids.

This gymnastics based dance studio offers open gym days, birthday parties and summer dance camps.

This water-centered camp teaching kids the all about sailing. While all skill levels are welcome, all participants must be proficient swimmers.

Knox County

Run by Knoxville Parks & Recs, this art center/studio offers pre-k classes, youth, and adult classes in a variety of media. Birthday parties and summer camp options are also available.

This Christ-centered facility offers overnight summer camp and retreat experiences.

Summer Camp: At Bridgemont Camp, campers can grow in their Christian faith while enjoying a variety of group games, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, a 110 foot swinging bridge, and more.

Retreats: Groups will have access to 1 women’s cabin, 1 men’s cabin, the lodge, the bath house, and the athletic field. Food is provided by the facility and is included in the cost.

 

Each 1/2 day summer camp spans over 4 days, with a goal of teaching campers proper etiquette and social skills.

The children’s museum features a variety of educational classes and hands-on exhibits. Exhibits include a rain forest room, model trains, waterworks, a bird room, doll house, historical toys, nature room, Native American history and much more! The museum also has a birthday party room that can be rented for private events.

In addition to daily educational fun and birthday parties, the museum offers STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) based spring and summer day camps. The camps allow kids to experience hands-on learning in a variety of themes.

Hosted by the University of Tennessee, these camps offers baton twirling lessons for kids in grades pre-k – high school. Skill level instruction ranges from beginner to advanced.

This facility offers a variety of drama classes, and art classes for kids and adults. Summer camps are also offered.

The Episcopal School of Knoxville offers a variety of camps to suit your needs including art camps, sports camps, STEAM camps, and more!

Knox County

A fun soccer camp for boys and girls, held at multiple locations throughout Knoxville.

This wonderful botanical garden is FREE to the public and is filled with seasonal flowers and foliage throughout the year. Nature based educational programs are also available for children and adults throughout the year. This facility also hosts summer camp programs.

This adventure packed overnight camp offers 1, 2, 3, and 4 week options. Activities include hiking, caving, rappelling, rock climbing, challenge courses, rafting, tubing, horseback riding, canoe trips, backpacking expeditions and more! Programs are available for kids from age 10-18.

This equestrian center provides general lessons, birthday parties, and camps during school breaks.  Skill level instruction ranges form beginner to advanced.

This sports center offers both indoor and outdoor practice facilities, as well as competitive team sports. Competitive sports include, baseball, softball, football, flag football, rugby, basketball, golf, and track and field. Summer camps for competitive sports are also available.

In addition to an outstanding educational program, this academy offers themed 4 day summer day camps. Themes include cooking, soccer, lacrosse, and football. Each camp is 4 days long. Age requirements vary by theme, but camps are available for grades k – 8.

This prestigious dance studio has multiple locations in the Knoxville Area. In addition to providing dance lessons, this studio also hosts birthday parties and themed summer dance camps.

This full rock climbing gym offers a variety of climbing experiences to meet the needs of all age and ability levels. The facility is also handicap accessible. Birthday parties, team building experiences, troop climbs (for scouts), and lock-in experiences are available. Child care available on certain days.

This facility also offers a variety of summer day camps to keep your kids moving during the school break! Each camp last for one week and each week offers a unique theme.

This kids’ gym offers a whole world of fun for preschool kids, including general gymnastics classes, parent/child classes, music & movement classes, birthday parties, and camps during school breaks for ages 3-12.

This fun day camp offers both full-time and part-time programs for kids ages 5-12. Lunch and snacks are provided. Activities include swimming, sports, and more!

Knox County

This fun and interactive children’s museum features hand-on play-based learning opportunities in the areas of science and STEAM. The museum also boats story time, arts and crafts, camps and birthday parties!

In addition to hosting permanent and rotating art exhibits, this museum hosts hands-on,family-family art programs all throughout the year. The goal of the Knoxville Museum of Art is to celebrates the art and artists of East Tennessee, present new art and new ideas, and educate a diverse public.

This museum also offers a summer art academy designed to increase your child’s art skills, creativity, and self-confidence. Morning classes are offered for kids ages 3 – 12 and afternoon classes are offered for kids ages 13 and up.

General admission to this museum is completely FREE!

For kids, Blount County Parks and Rec offers gymnastics and tumbling classes, dance classes, karate classes, swim team, ballet classes, sewing classes, art classes, and pottery classes. The department also offers a variety of sports leagues including, football, soccer, basketball, and baseball. This department also offers summer camps and maintains local playgrounds, which offer pavilion rentals for birthday parties. A variety of classes are also offered for adults and seniors.

This members only tennis club offers indoor courts, outdoor courts, a pro shop, and an exercise room.

This facility also offers 4 day Summer Fun Tennis Camps geared towards kids in 1st – 8th grades.

This facility, owned by the United Methodist Church, offers opportunities for outdoor education, overnight summer camps, and retreats.

Educational Programs: This center offers a variety of hands-on nature programs throughout the year. topics include boating, interactive hiking, Native American history,  stream ecology, wilderness survival, and much more! Programs are perfect for field trips and your group will receive a custom schedule. Educational experiences can last from 1/2 day up to a full week. Secular and faith based options available.

Summer Camp: This faith centered overnight camp combines opportunities for worship and spiritual growth with good old fashioned fun and outdoor recreation. Camp is for kids in 1st-12th grade. A special needs camp is also available for kids ages 12-22.

Retreats: Overnight retreat facilities are also available. The per-person price include meals. Prices vary based on chosen accommodations.

 

General Zoo Information – This fun family-friendly zoo features a variety of amazing animals, including lions, tigers, elephants, gorillas, and much more! Educational programs take place at varying times throughout the day. If you are brave enough, you can even feed the giraffes. There is a splash pad on-site for the kiddos and the the entire zoo is stroller accessible.

Zoo Camp – In the summer, the zoo offers week long day camps that focus on animal education and give kids a behind the scenes look at zoo life!

This homeschool co-op offers a variety of parent led classes, field trips, and social opportunities for members. They also offer a fun and educational summer camp for both members and non-members.

This fun make-and-take art studio allows you to create stunning farmhouse-style home decor. Projects include rustic pallet wood wall hangings, sewing projects and more!

This studio also offers summer art camps for kids.

Knox County

Are your kids musically inclined? Make there summer with a week long day camp at School of Rock Knoxville. Each week has a different fun theme, including classic rock, drum week, 90’s and more!

This summer camp, operated by the Sevier County Baptist Association, offers both day and overnight options. Here, campers can grow in their Christian faith while enjoying a variety of recreational activities. Retreat rentals are also available.

Located just outside of Nashville, this camp is a little further away than some of the others; however, this camp does offer a variety of options that make it worth the extra drive. In additional to traditional overnight camps (swimming, hiking, crafts, etc.), this camp also offers a variety of themed overnight camps including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Minecraft and many more!

This amazing LEGO facility allows kids to build and play hands-on with LEGO. Kidz (parents) Night Out, open play times, and field trips are available all throughout the year.  The facility also hosts amazing themed birthday parties.

In addition to year round fun, Bricks 4 Kidz offers camp options whenever Knox County Public Schools are closed. These camps include week-long summer camp options. Themes include dragons, minions, pirates, space, transportation and much more!

This camp is specifically designed for kids with  speech, language, and/or hearing disorders. The camp includes 2 half days on the UT campus and a 3 day camping trip in the Smoky Mountains. To best serve your kids, Volunteer Your Voice combines individualized treatment with traditional summer camp activities. The camp welcomes kids ages 8 – 15.

Hosted by the Webb School of Knoxville, these summer day camps provide campers with opportunities for learning and a variety of indoor an outdoor recreation. Campers can choose from sports camps, adventure camps, and specialty camps.

This studio offers year round classes in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and creative movement. Summer camps are also available. Classes are available for all skill levels.

This club promotes the sport of archery for both recreation and competition. In addition to year round private and group lesson options, the club also offers a 5 day summer camp for kids ages 10-15.

Knoxville Catholic offers a variety of academic and recreational day camps including math, robotics, writing, baseball, basketball, cheer and much more! Cost varies for each camp.

 

This art studio provides classes specifically for kids. Classes include painting, drawing, sculpting, and more! This studio also holds an annual chalk drawing event at Maryville college, Chalk the Walk. Summer camp programs are also available. This studio is associated with Fine Arts Blount.

This full service equestrian center offers boarding, training, and riding/jumping lessons for students of all ages and experience levels.

This facility also offers a variety of summer camp options for all experience levels. Full week and  mini week options are available.
